An iconic Cape Town hotel enters a new era with a prestigious rebrand

One of Cape Town’s most recognisable hotels has entered a new chapter with a major rebrand. 

The Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront Cape Town has been rebranded to The Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town.

To celebrate the event, the hotel recently hosted a grand opening launch event. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Cape Town’s iconic V&A Waterfront, the event marked the dawn of a new era for the Radisson Collection brand - the first of its kind in South Africa.

No two Radisson Collection hotels  are ever the same, with each hotel representing an intrinsic part of local heritage and authentic character, with a focus on art and design and distinctive local influences. The Art Gallery showcased works by emerging artists Jaret Loggenberg and Fadiel Hermans.

The setting was nothing short of magical; luxurious white tones set the scene, while the sounds of live music from local performers Kirya Kuti, Sterling EQ, and DJ Liam Pitcher on the lawns, with views of the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

Guests were welcomed into a space that has undergone a remarkable transformation. The refurbishment captures the essence of Cape Town, blending the city's vibrant charm with world-class luxury and design.

While the character of each Radisson Collection hotel remains authentic to its location, all of them are united by bespoke design and exceptional experiences across dining, fitness, wellness and sustainability.
