Hout Bay’s 7 Elite Football Academy proudly represented South Africa in the United States this February, competing in the under-19 divisions at the 7 Elite International Tournament in Utah and the Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup in Nevada.

Placed in the top pools at both events, the Hout Bay team played 10 matches in 11 days. Despite the tough schedule, they delivered strong performances against elite teams from the USA, the UK, and Japan.

The tour built on experience gained last year at the Liverpool International Academy in Mauritius, which helped prepare the players for tougher competition. With nearly 1,500 teams across both tournaments, the events provided  exposure to college scouts and NCAA Division I recruiters.

Off the field, the tour included visits to leading universities and local attractions, giving the players a rich experience while opening doors beyond school football.
