Nathan Paulse leads Hout Bay youngsters in quest for Premier Cup glory

Phase four of the Bayhill Under-19 Premier Cup play-offs kicks off this weekend at Langa Sports Complex. Langa will host for the second consecutive week as the top youth sides in the Cape Metropole compete to secure a spot in the Easter weekend tournament.

Hout Bay UFC is among the teams aiming to book their place in the competition, which has produced some of Mzansi’s top football talents, including Benni McCarthy, Steven Pienaar and Nasief Morris.

With Nathan Paulse guiding the side, the Hout Bay youngsters have experienced mentorship to rely on.

The former Ajax Cape Town striker, who also represented the national team, will lead his players through the latest play-off round, where they face Ikappa Sporting on Sunday, February 1.

Of the 32 sides that will take to the field this weekend, 16 will have their dreams of making it to the tournament dashed. The Hout Bay youngsters will be determined to avoid becoming one of those sides even with the tough encounter they have in front of them.
