The Axxess Landmarks 21.1km half marathon and 6km fun run is set to take place on Sunday November 3, starting and finishing at the Western Province Cricket Club in Rondebosch.
The race takes a scenic route past some of Cape Town’s most famous landmarks such as Mostert’s Mill, Rhodes Memorial and the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. The historic Forrester Arms, situated close to the Newlands rugby and cricket grounds, will serve as a central part of the route.
The Landmarks half marathon and fun run is partnering with the Amy Foundation Trust South Africa (formerly Amy Biehl Foundation Trust) as the event’s key beneficiary.
“We’re excited to support the Amy Foundation through this event,” says Dale Moulton, chief revenue officer at Axxess. “The Landmarks half marathon and fun run isn't just about running, it’s about making a positive impact in our community while celebrating Cape Town’s rich history and stunning landscapes.”
Race entries cost R150 for half marathon licenced runners; and R225 for half marathon unlicenced runners. The 6km fun run entry costs R50. Visit https://axxesslandmarks.topevents.co.za/ to enter.
Three Vukani readers can each win an entry for either the half marathon or 6km fun run as well as an official event T-shirt. To enter, email your name, surname and phone number to entertain.ccn@acm.co.za before midnight on Sunday October 13. Put “Landmarks” in the subject line of the email.
