Teams from Llandudno Primary School demonstrated exceptional skill and ingenuity at the annual World Robot Olympiad at the weekend.
The global competition, held under the overarching theme "The Future of Robots," challenged young innovators to explore the vital role of robotics in our world and beyond.
This year's Elementary category, "Satellites at Work," transported pupils to the far reaches of space with a mission to design, build, and program a robot to perform critical tasks.
Computer teacher and EdTech departmental head at the school, Darren Osborn, said teams faced a series of complex challenges, including delivering rocket fuel, clearing hazardous space debris, and safely deploying new satellites into orbit.
"They met these challenges with incredible focus and creativity, and we're immensely proud of both teams for their hard work and dedication," he said.

Ben Landman and Adam Hutchinson earned the bronze medal in their category.
"Their impressive performance is a testament to their collaboration and problem-solving skills," Mr Osborn said.
Matthew Curtis, Connor de Allende, and Luke Holland took home the gold medal for the school.
This also meant the team earned them a spot at the national competition in Pretoria next month, where they will have the chance to represent Llandudno Primary School on an even bigger stage.
"Their coach expressed his pride in the teams, stating that their success is a direct result of their hard work and dedication. We wish our gold medal winners the best of luck as they prepare for the nationals. Their journey is an inspiration to all our students, proving that with passion and perseverance, anything is possible," Mr Osborn said.
