The MOU sets the foundation for several joint initiatives, including participation in the Hainan International Consumer Goods Expo, the establishment of duty-free stores for African products in Hainan, and a shared focus on exploring mining opportunities across the African continent.

Additionally, the MOU explores initiatives such as establishing Sister City relations between Haikou City and a South African city, as well as the potential for hosting the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in Hainan—a significant step toward cultural exchange and mutual appreciation of the cultural heritage of South Africa and China.
This MOU reinforces Sekunjalo’s dedication to international cooperation, economic growth, and strengthened cross-cultural understanding. Sekunjalo and Hainan International Resources Group will now work on implementing these initiatives to create long-term value and promote global interconnectedness.
