Classrooms and outdoor spaces at Llandudno Primary School were filled with the sound of shared stories as pupils marked World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) this week.
The school celebrated the global literacy event by pairing older pupils with younger learners, creating an inter-year reading experience to build confidence, comprehension, and a love of books.
School principal Alexander Molteno said pupils from the Grade 7s to the Grade 5s guided their Grade 1 counterparts, and each classroom and outdoor space was filled with the sounds of enthusiastic voices bringing stories to life.
"As Grade 6s read aloud to Grade 2s and Grade 4s shared stories with the bright-eyed Grade Rs, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and laughter," he said.
WRAD takes place annually on the first Wednesday of February.
