Kickstart your New Year with Kirstenbosch's spectacular summer sunset concerts

The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts will kick off this month with a lineup of internationally-acclaimed artists.

The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens will host artists, including Belinda Davids, who will deliver her world-renowned tribute to the legendary Whitney Houston on Sunday, January 11. 

UK star Calum Scott will perform on Wednesday, January 14. Tickets to this concert are already sold out.

The sessions continue on Sunday, January 18, with a double-bill of Afro-pop and R&B, featuring South African legends Freshlyground and new-age star Manana.

To close the season, Bombino will perform on Sunday, January 25.

Events and tourism manager for Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Sarah Struys, said the Summer Sunset Concerts are about connection, joy, and the beauty of experiencing art in harmony with nature. “This year’s line-up is one of our most exciting ever, with something for everyone. We are thrilled to welcome such incredible local and international talent to the garden,” she said.

Gates open at 4pm, and the shows start at 5.15pm.

Tickets cost R360 for adults,  R255 for youth from 6-21 years old, and free for children who are five and under.
