Llandudno Primary School transformed into a spellbinding wonderland for its biggest Halloween celebration yet - the 'Halloween BOO-gie'.

On Friday, October 31, the school sold a record-breaking 500 tickets, a week in advance, which brought together excited pupils, supportive parents, and community members for a night of spooky fun, laughter, and school spirit.

Families arrived dressed as witches, superheroes, pirates, vampires, and glow-in-the-dark skeletons, filling the school grounds with colour, imagination, and giggles.

"From the moment the gates opened, the campus buzzed with festive excitement. The event captured everything Llandudno Primary stands for - community, creativity, family connection, and joyful childhood experiences," said Alexander Molteno, Llandudno Primary School principal.

A highlight of the night was the magical "Trick-or-Treat Zone", which stretched across the sports field. Numbered class stalls created a whimsical candy trail, each designed and run by a different grade.

"Pupils delighted in games, challenges, and themed activities as they filled their bags with sweets and treats," Mr Molteno said.

The "Haunted House" in the school's Tech Room delivered spine-tingling thrills for brave adventurers and quickly became a favourite attraction, with echoes of delighted screams drifting across campus.

In the spirit of kindness and community, extra sweets collected on the night were donated to nearby schools, ensuring the Halloween magic spreads beyond Llandudno’s gates and reminding pupils that generosity is at the heart of celebration.

"The resounding success of the Halloween BOO-gie reflects the remarkable dedication and creativity of the school’s staff, parents, and volunteers. Their hard work transformed the campus into a festive playground of cobwebs, pumpkins, fairy lights, and glowing ghosts, and their teamwork ensured an unforgettable evening for all," Mr Molteno said.

It was a scary but fun experience when the Halloween celebrations kicked off at Llandudno Primary on Friday October 31.
