A male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run on the N1 inbound between Joostenbergvlakte and Brighton Road in Kraaifontein just after midnight on Sunday, say police.
“This is an unknown person at this stage. No family has been notified because this person was injured unrecognisably. The person was hit by a motor vehicle, and the vehicle fled the scene,“ said Kraaifontein police spokesperson Warrant Officer Louise Strydom.
Police are investigating a culpable homicide.
