The South African Riding for the Disabled Association Cape Town (Sarda) will hold its annual Open Garden at Water Oak Farm, the home of Constantia Valley residents Wendy and Winston Floquet, on Saturday October 26. Nestled on a Constantiaberg foothill, the garden offers panoramic views of Table Mountain, Vlakkenberg and False Bay. It includes a meadow, a herbaceous pond, rolling green lawns and gardens of fynbos, succulents and cacti. All proceeds go to Sarda, a non-profit organisation that provides free therapeutic horse riding to children and adults living with disabilities in Cape Town. Water Oak Farm is at the end of Klein Constantia Road, past the boom for the wine estate. Tickets are sold at the entrance. Adults pay R60 and children under 10 are allowed in for free.
