Early childhood development (ECD) centres in Beacon Valley, Eastridge and Mitchell’s Plain CBD are practising their dance moves, singing and talents ahead of Ward 116’s ECD extravaganza.
Children, aged five and younger, at registered ECD centres in Ward 116, are welcome to participate in the ward’s first of its kind talent show on Saturday November 23.
Ward councillor Solomon Philander said the idea was discussed and 12 centres said they would like to take part.
“Early Childhood development is a critical time of the child’s life. I believe that every ECD in ward 116 provides the holistic development and building a foundation in the child’s life,” he said.
He said the extravaganza was a great opportunity to show case the children’s talent and regain the confidence for a brighter future.
