The Domestic Animal Rescue Group (DARG) are hoping to generate funds to assist with repair costs after their charity bookshop flooded during last week’s storms. They are also experiencing a shortage in towels and pet food after their July market had a small turnout due to the weather, according to spokesperson, Kelly-Paige Howell. “We had a few issues with the storms but our general manager is still tallying up what the damage was and how much it’s going to cost. Our DARG Book Shack flooded three separate times which was an issue as it brings in so many funds that keep our doors open,” she said.
