2nd Hout Bay Sea Scouts took 10th place overall in the annual Kon-Tiki raft-building challenge, held at the Sea Scout Base, in Lakeside, from Friday to Sunday. One of the troop’s teams won the volleyball competition while another tied first place with 1st Bergvliet in the knee-boarding. The troop also participated in a fancy-dress competition, cooking, tug of war, catapult building and a cross country run. Meanwhile, the 2nd Hout Bay cubs came 10th out of 31 packs at their Kon-Tiki event, held on Sunday. Seen on the 2nd Hout Bay raft, from left, are Harry Southey, Olivia Steenkamp and Rebecca Saville.
