The vintage trend is not only back in fashion but at weddings too, where most couples are looking at adding more jewels to their wedding decor.
According to jewellery and trends expert Ella Citron-Thompkins from Diamonds Factory Ireland, Rococo Revival is the wedding trend expected to go viral in 2025.
"Rococo is set to be a huge upcoming wedding trend, according to Pinterest's predictions.
“Originating in the 18th century in France, this artistic and musical movement was defined by a shift from deep, dramatic tones to light, airy architecture, art and decorations,” said Thompkins.
"Inspired by the glamour of Marie Antoinette, who led Rococo fashion with huge, poufy hairstyles, decorative frills, feathers and bows- weddings in 2025 will be grand celebrations with intricate details.
“Think classic corset dresses, luxurious accessories, and elaborate Victorian tablescapes. This trend reflects the modern couple's desire for timeless elegance with a touch of drama.”
To better achieve this trend, Thompkins suggests adding a variety of flowers.
“Flowers are an essential element in capturing the Rococo Revival wedding trend. To reflect the elegance of the period, couples can opt for flower arrangements featuring typical flowers of the time, such as delphiniums, blue hyacinths, white roses and pale pink hydrangeas.
“These beautiful flowers create a romantic effect that embodies the natural beauty of the 18th century, which can be displayed on your tablescape arrangements or hanging on chandeliers to create the historic scene.”
