The club’s squash future looks bright with a record number of entries into this year’s Junior Championships.

Llandudno Sports Club concluded a busy and eventful sporting year with their annual Squash and Tennis Club Championships.

In what was a remarkable achievement, all five 2021 Champions successfully defended their respective titles; the first time this has happened in the club’s 61-year history.

In the Squash Championships, Sarah McLeod was crowned Junior Champion, defeating Nick Brown, 3-2.

Emma du Toit held off a spirited challenge from Iris Gable to retain her Ladies Champion title, also winning 3-2.

And in the Men’s Competition, Lochlan Williamson had to come from behind to edge Ryan Bluck, 3-1.

The club’s inaugural Doubles Squash Championships was won by Pierr Roodt and Jacques du Toit.

In the Tennis Championships, Lize Wessels and Richard Fawcett both celebrated a hattrick of wins in the Ladies and Men’s Championships, beating Lizzell Boshoff and Bob Groeneveld in their respective finals.
