Chapman’s Peak Drive remains closed after a “signification rock fall event” occurred yesterday.
According to a post on the official Chapman’s Peak Drive Facebook page, about four cubic meters of rocks were estimated to have been safely captured in the catch fence, however, substantial damage was caused.
“Based on the initial assessment, the repairs could take up to seven days, weather dependent,” the post read.
“The public will be updated on a regular basis, on any further development.”
